What we do

Replacement and repair

We quote roof replacement per job, because the size of the roof and what’s under the old covering decide the price. Repairs we can price up front.

Roof Replacement

Free

on-site estimate

Roof replacement from R Roofing and Exteriors is built around one simple idea: we treat your roof like it’s protecting our own home. We guide you through material choices, walk you through what we see during the inspection, and give you a clear, written estimate before any work begins. Whether you choose asphalt shingles, metal or EPDM rubber, the goal is the same: a weather-tight, long-lasting roof that gives you peace of mind for years.

Repair

Roof Repair

$150

starting price

Roof repair is designed to stop leaks fast, protect your interior and buy you safer years out of your current roof. We trace stains, drips and damp insulation back to the true source rather than just patching where the water shows up inside.

What a repair starts at

Starting prices for the four types of repair we handle. The final figure comes after the free inspection, in writing.

Leak Detection and RepairWe trace stains, drips or damp insulation back to where the water actually gets in, and repair that point instead of patching where it appears inside.$150from
Emergency Roof RepairFor when water suddenly starts coming in during heavy rain or overnight. Temporary coverings stop the active leak, then we make the permanent fix.$200from
Storm Damage Roof RepairLifted shingles, tree damage and hail bruises after storms. We secure the roof quickly, then replace shingles, flashing and decking as needed.$350from

Choosing a system

What each roof actually gives you

We guide you through shingles, metal or EPDM with honest advice, and we’ll tell you when the less expensive system is the right one for your home.

Service life assumes normal maintenance. In central Pennsylvania, freeze-thaw cycles are what usually end a roof, not summer heat.

When to call

Six signs your roof needs attention

Any one of these is worth a free inspection. If we see widespread aging that would make constant patching a waste of money, we’ll tell you and talk through a planned replacement.

Shingles cracking or curling

Edges lifting away from the roof. Once a whole slope does this, the roof is near the end of its life, not the middle.

Granules in the gutters

Coarse grit in the gutters and downspouts means the shingle surface is wearing off.

Daylight through the deck

Visible from the attic on a bright day. Anywhere light gets in, water already has.

Stains on upstairs ceilings

A brown ring that grows after rain. The leak is rarely directly above it; water travels along the rafters.

Sagging along the ridge

A dip in the roof line means the deck is carrying weight it shouldn’t. Stop and call.

Missing shingles after a storm

Wind lifts tabs that were already brittle, and one gap lets the next storm strip more.

Questions

Roofing questions we get asked most

We quote roof replacement per job, because the honest answer depends on the roof’s size and pitch, how many layers are already on it and what we find under them. Repairs we can price up front: leak detection and repair from $150, emergency roof repair from $200 and storm damage repair from $350. Every job starts with a free on-site inspection, and financing is available.

We do a thorough inspection for leaks, missing shingles and wear, then recommend either a targeted repair or a full replacement. If a repair will safely extend the life of your roof, we say so. If the aging is widespread enough that constant patching would waste your money, we walk you through planning a replacement instead of waiting for the next big leak.

Yes. Storm damage roof repair starts at $350. After a storm we can put temporary coverings on to stop active leaks, followed by permanent fixes like shingle replacement, new flashing and decking repairs if needed. We prioritize storm calls so your home is secured quickly.

We specialize in Atlas asphalt shingles, metal roofing and EPDM rubber roofing, so we have options for steep slopes, flat roofs and a range of budgets. We handle gutter integration too, so the roofline is one job instead of two.

Emergency roof repair starts at $200 and covers stopping the active leak, so your home is protected from further damage. Call (223) 290-0684 and we’ll tell you honestly when we can be there.

Yes. R Roofing and Exteriors is fully licensed and insured, registered with Pennsylvania as a home improvement contractor (PA HIC #194136). We also offer financing and accept debit and credit cards, Cash App and Venmo.
